IMMUNIZATION
REQUIREMENTS
New
York State Public Health Law #2165, requires,
that ALL students born after
January 1, 1957 and are taking six (6) or more
credits, show proof of vaccination for
measles, mumps and rubella (MMR).
You can obtain this information from the High
school you last attended/graduated, your
pediatrician or family physician, or the last
college/university you attended.
Non-compliance of this law will cause you to
be withdrawn from all of your classes.
Tuition money and fees will be forfeited, your
records will become impounded, you will
not be able to register for any more classes
and no records will be able to be transferred
until this obligation is met.
MENINGOCOCCAL MENINGITIS REQUIREMENTS
New York State Public health Law #2167, make
is mandatory for ALL college students
taking six (6) or more credits on campus to
receive information about the meningitis
disease and vaccine.
ALL students MUST have a record of receiving
the meningitis vaccine OR sign a waiver
declining the vaccine.
At this time Sullivan County Community College
does not require the vaccine to attend,
however, the response form is required by law
to be signed and kept in the students’
health file.
