  SCCC To Host American Legion State Championship
 
LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY – Sullivan County Community College and the Floyd Keener American Legion Post 315 proudly announce the arrival of 2008 New York State American Legion Junior Division Championship Tournament. The tournament will feature five teams from across the state, as well as the host Floyd Keener Post 315 Rangers of Sullivan County. The tournament marks the first time an American Legion state championship will be decided on Sullivan County turf.

The tournament begins on Thursday July 31. The first game is set for 12:00pm at Sullivan County Community College. The second game, also scheduled at SCCC will begin at 3:00pm on Thursday. The traditional tournament banquet will follow Thursday’s games, and get underway at 6:30pm. The banquet will be held at Nina’s Ristorante in Loch Sheldrake. Four games are scheduled for Friday beginning at Noon, three more games will be played Saturday, and the title game is for Sunday at 11:00am. All but game #5 will take place on the campus of Sullivan County Community College.
